Here are instructions on how to rename your iPhone or iPad. The names of these devices are often copied from one device to the next so it’s possible that your new iPhone 6 might still be named Tim’s iPhone 4, for example. You don’t want that!
- Wake up or turn on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap on Settings
- Tap on General
- Tap on About
- Tap on Name and edit the device’s name
- Press the Home button to exit Settings
