Show Full Website Addresses in Safari

Once you click in the address field Safari will show the full address, such as

Here are instructions to make Safari always display the full website address:

  1. Open Safari, click on the Safari menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click on the Advanced button.
  3. Next to Smart Search Field check the box labeled “Show full website address.”

  2. In the Smart Search field section, remove the checkmark next to Show Favorites.
