Review All Devices Linked To Your AppleID

Are you a long-time Mac user? If so, over the years, you’ve likely linked a lot of Apple products to your AppleID. This includes not only Macs, but iPhones, iPad and maybe AppleTVs. It’s useful to periodically review the list of devices linked to your AppleID. First, it gives you a chance to unlink that iPhone that you replaced 2 years ago. Second, it lets you make sure that there aren’t any unauthorized devices linked to your account.

You can view the device list from either a Mac or an iOS device, such as an iPhone or iPad.

Follow these instructions to review the list of devices linked to your AppleID using your Mac:

  • Click on the Apple menu and select System Preferences
  • Click on iCloud
  • Click on Account Details
  • Click on Devices. Enter your AppleID password, if you’re prompted for it.
  • You’ll see a list similar to the one below.
  • If you want to remove a device, click on the device and then click the Remove from Account button.
  • When you’ve finished reviewing this list, click the Done button.
  • Click the red dot to close the System Preferences window

  • If you want to remove a device, click on the device and then click the Remove from Account button.
  • Tap the button in the upper left to go back.

  1. Some of my updates on my iMac don’t sync with my phone, i.e., calendar, contacts and mail (deleted items, e.g.). Must be a problem with “Preferences” or “Settings,” but haven’t figured out what’s going on.
